There are several BURNDY® U DIE KITS, which are:

The UDIEKITCU and UDIEKITAL die kit includes 15 sets of “U” dies, type U-RT and U-ART respectively, and the PT29291 die case. These stainless steel color coded dies are for crimping BURNDY® YA, YS, YA-A, and YS-A type HYLUG^TM color coded terminals and splices ranging from #6 AWG through 750kcmil.

The UDIEKITCUW includes 9 sets of wide stainless steel, color coded “U” dies are for crimping BURNDY® long barrel YA type HYLUG^TM and YS type HYLINK^TM color coded terminals and splices ranging from #8 AWG through 4/0 AWG. The wide “U” dies require only one crimp compared to two crimps when using standard width dies on long barrel YA type terminals and YS type splices up to 4/0 AWG.

The UDIEKITHYGRD kit includes 8 die sets. 7 dies sets are used to install the BURNDY® HYGROUND® irreversible compression grounding crimping ½”, 5/8”, and ¾” ground rods for increased rotational resistance.
